Dog Aggression Management Lessons
and other behavioral problems
Approved by Douglas County and El Paso County Humane Society for Problem Dog Evaluation and Lessons.
One-hour Evaluation of the Dog, Handler in the Home Environment – We will conduct an initial evaluation of the dog’s behavior to establish the course of action needed for the individual dog and situation. During the first visit we will include a short educational program. Dog aggression and problem behaviors manifest themselves from the dog’s natural drives and instincts that are misunderstood. After the initial one-hour evaluation we will provide a specifically tailored lesson plan for each dog.
Evaluation Cost: $100 (taken off full class price if you take one of the classes)
Lesson 1 – Includes 6 sessions within a 4 to 6 week time frame. Lesson 1 includes teaching your dog to become a safe and productive part of your family. With owner participation, we will teach the dog basic obedience and proper leash work. Socialization with other people and dogs will be incorporated throughout the training. We use effective training methods that create respect, obedience and trust. We teach the dog owner behavior modification techniques that will last a lifetime. The whole family is encouraged to take part in the training. Depending on severity of problems and completed homework assignments additional classes can be arranged.
Lesson 1: $400 ($450 for Ft. Collins and Pueblo residents)
